It is pretty humbling and extremely rewarding, when persons who drive along the west coast road and have no idea who the owners are, make every effort to contact us and are more than pleased to make the bold statements to us, such as, this house “Bocean Villa” is the most beautiful, most interesting architecture, unusual, attractive, awe inspiring, breath taking house they have ever seen on the island of St. Lucia. When beauty is in the eyes of so many beholders there can be no argument that this villa is exceptional. From the design stage to what the structure currently looks like, has been one interesting and unforgettable ride. This villa is like nothing that has existed before it. It really is the coordinated creation of our innovative demands and the architect’s talents that brought our dreams to light.
Having attended a function at a residence nearby the beautiful views of the ocean inspired the acquisition of this lovely gentle sloping property which the villa now stands on. It was one of the best decisions we ever made.

Having attended a function at a residence nearby the beautiful views of the ocean inspired the acquisition of this lovely gentle sloping property which the villa now stands on. It was one of the best decisions we ever made.
In 2012 the decision was taken to develop the property and then our creative juices started flowing. We developed a dossier detailing what we wanted out of the property and presented it to the Architects. After the first site visit of the property our main architect recommended that property be contemporary in its design but should blend with the general theme of the quaint village of Canaries near which the villa is located.
Therefore, we toured the village taking photos of the scenery and when we came to the waterfront and saw the beautifully blending pastel colours of the fishing boats, like some sort of divine intervention, the Eureka moment for the designs, arrived. Accordingly, the villa was inspired by beautifully coloured fishing boats and the ocean; hence the name, BOCEAN which is a combination of the first two letters of the word BOAT and the entire word OCEAN. Then, from that point on we careful built functionally into the design to meet the needs of a six member family or group.
Therefore, we toured the village taking photos of the scenery and when we came to the waterfront and saw the beautifully blending pastel colours of the fishing boats, like some sort of divine intervention, the Eureka moment for the designs, arrived. Persons who have had the opportunity to tour the villa are always so pleasantly surprised by what they see inside. After, taking in the beautiful curb appeal of the villa, guests are usually even more amazed by the internal aesthetics of the villa. Upon entering the foyer you are welcomed by an ocean blue accent wall which signifies the aquatic theme which inspired the design of the villa.
The living, dining and kitchen area all form part of an open concept space separated by our carefully designed custom-made furniture. The living and dining area have full length glass windows that lets you take in the spectacular views of the lovely blue Caribbean sea and mountain side while relaxing in the living room or dining at the dinner table.
The boat shaped terrace on the first floor is adjoined to the dining and kitchen area, separated by full length four panel glass windows which can be opened up to form one contiguous space. This enables the extension of the dining area and facilitates an inside outside dining concept for parties and family gatherings.
The Living area also has a three panel full length window that opens up to simply designed silver metal railings that provide the concept of an inside outside balcony with awesome views of the mountain side and the ocean.

The master bedroom and a master bath span the entire second floor and have a breathtaking vista that provides you with views of the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea, the lush green mountain side and as fate would have it, views of island of Martinique in the distance.
